Hi church family

This Sunday is special indeed. We’ll celebrate Lord’s Supper – remembering what Jesus did for us on the cross. His act of sacrifice changed our eternal destination from one of hopelessness to a living hope. Come and celebrate it with us.

On Sunday will also celebrate Reformation Day, looking ahead at the 31st October as the 500th year since the Reformation, an event which changed the landscape of the church and Christianity in a profound way. Do remember that you can attend a special ‘combined service’ for all our Reformed churches on Sunday 4.30pm at Gosnells Reformed Church. (See the add further on in the e- Newsletter)

As we approach Reformation Day – it’s worthwhile mentioning that the world chooses to celebrate Halloween on the same day. And herein lies the contrast. The world celebrates ‘witches, ghosts & death’ while we as believers celebrate The Reformation. These two celebration are in stark contrast to each other. Needless to say we should all examine ourselves as to where we stand in this matter. As your pastor and spiritual leader I want to encourage all of you to not participate in the dark custom of Halloween, but rather focus on the Lord and His goodness. Let us remember, talk about and celebrate the Reformation.
